Yesterday, we were greeted by a perfect morning to celebrate the May Crowning, a celebration which gives praise to Mary as our Queen of Heaven and Earth. The morning’s pleasant sunshine was welcomed by everyone, but the peacefulness and tranquility I experienced was inspired by the students’ recitation of the Holy Rosary. This special event will be one of the earliest school memories for many JSS students, especially for our second grade students whose solemn participation in the May Crowning is a beautiful affirmation of their faith formation. Many years ago, I learned that “the gentle repetition of the words of the rosary helps us to enter into the silence of our hearts, where Christ's spirit dwells.” Thanks to all the parents who donated flowers and whose busy schedules allowed them the time to join their children in prayer.

Hot Lunch News
Aqua Terra will announce an important option for parents to consider regarding hot lunch for next year. Aqua Terra proposed the option of a plan for parents to pay $100 per month (per child) for a child’s lunch for the entire school year. This equates to about $5.88 per lunch. This plan will ensure that your child has a nutritious lunch every school day. We are working with TMS to enable automatic deductions each month for your hot lunch payments. More details on this to follow.
